Shipping Policy


The Tape Depot reserves the right to ship packages via the Postal Class or Carrier deemed necessary (USPS or UPS). Due to the fact that each parcel shipped is different in size and weight, our dedicated fulfillment team routes your package to you in the quickest way determined.

Our warehouse location is in South Florida, US. Therefore, if you are ordering a package in New York you will receive it in 3 – 8 Days depending on the item. If you are in Los Angeles, California you should get your parcels in 5 – 10 days of ordering. We like to be upfront with this so our users can time orders correctly, and we can convert/slit items necessary.

Converted Items:
Sometimes orders need to be converted. This means we need to cut the specific roll of tape for our customers. These rolls are slit in the order received.

Free Shipping does not extend to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or International Addresses.

Fees to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands:
Orders to these destinations are reviewed upon reception. Sometimes there are no additional fees to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or the US Virgin Islands. Our fulfillment team will review your order and contact you if any additional postage is necessary.

The Tape Depot Ships: Monday – Friday (10:30am – 4:00pm – ET)
We Do Not Ship On Saturday or Sunday. All orders received on these days will be reviewed on Monday for fulfillment. All orders received after 12:00pm on Fridays (ET) will be reviewed on Monday for fulfillment

ROLL ORDERS: Single or mixed roll orders are usually fulfilled within 3 business days. If a tape needs to be converted (cut From A Master – jumbo roll), fulfillment time may increase to 5 business days. If there is a backorder you will be notified by registered e-mail address.

CASE ORDERS: Case orders are usually fulfilled within 3 business days. If a tape needs to be converted (cut from A master – jumbo roll), fulfillment time may increase to 5 business days.

BACKORDERS: In the rare circumstance we run into a back order you will be contacted via e-mail about the back order and the time frame for fulfillment.

All Expedited Shipping (UPS Overnight, 2nd or 3rd Day Air)

  1. All orders requiring overnight shipping must be taken by phone
  2. Express orders are taken from Monday – Friday 10:00am – 2:00pm ET
  3. Cut off – 2:00pm ET (Monday – Friday)
  4. All express orders are shipped UPS – Client pays all shipping fees
  5. No expedited shipping will take place on observed national holidays
  6. Express shipping to rural routes and remote locations can be more costly
  7. Express shipping is not available for Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories
  8. No express shipping offered to PO Boxes

Orders will be shipped via our standard service only (expedited and express shipping methods are currently not available for APO/FPO addresses). Standard delivery timeframes (as noted above) do not apply to APO/FPO shipments. If additional rates apply – we will contact you via email.

Please note, at this time we are unable to ship UPS to a P.O. Box address. All P.O. Box orders will go out Priority Mail (USPS) – Additional fees may apply. This will require 72 hours for the order to be shipped. All packages will have a tracking number for confirmation of receipt, if applicable.

When we ship to Canada we utilize USPS (United States Postal Service)
– Priority Mail International Flat Rate Parcel
– Fees range from $11.50 – $38.00 depending on the product (weight – size) ordered.
– Our fulfillment team will review your order and contact you via email with the additional postage necessary to ship your item. You are not charged until you approve the additional mailing fees.

We have to use this form of mail so we can track each parcel to its destination.

Please contact The Tape Depot to obtain a cancellation number. Cancellations will not be accepted without a cancellation fee if a product has been converted or slit to order. Cancellations will not be accepted on non-standard items and blanket purchase orders. The Tape Depot will not be held responsible for cancellations made without a registered cancellation number.

All merchandise delivered is non-returnable, except as authorized by The Tape Depot in Florida. Unauthorized returns will be refused. All returns will be subject to a restocking fee between 15% and 25%. A 30% restocking fee will be applied on converted items. All special order items or sizes slit to order are not returnable.

If you are unsure you intend to keep an item, please inquire before purchasing if a restocking fee is applicable. Stock products and sizes may change periodically due to demand.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to get a tracking number when you return items. This ensures that your tape arrives at our warehouse.
Returned Goods Authorization number (RGA) must be clearly marked on all returned items. RGA’s expire 30 days after date of issuance. Once RGA expires, The Tape Depot will not accept returns. Please notify us before any returns are shipped 1-888-282-TAPE (8273).

Damaged Goods
Upon delivery, please inspect all goods carefully for damage. If goods are damaged, refuse on delivery and contact The Tape Depot immediately for further instructions. If replacement is needed, a new Purchase Order number is required.

Lost and Damaged Shipments DO NOT SIGN DELIVERY RECEIPT until you count all pieces. Sign only for what you have received. If signed short, contact The Tape Depot immediately and The Tape Depot will proceed to file a loss claim. If replacement is needed, a new Purchase Order Number will be required.

Concealed Loss and Damage
Report concealed loss or damage to carrier within 48 hours and request inspection by the carrier. This is absolutely necessary. Otherwise the carrier will not be liable for payment or settlement of concealed damage freight claims. The Tape Depot will advise you on the best procedure to follow in filing a freight claim. However, The Tape Depot cannot assume any responsibility with respect to concealed loss & damage freight claims.

The Tape Depot warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Should any failure to conform to this warranty appear after the initial date of shipment, The Tape Depot shall, upon notification thereof and substantiation that the products have been stored and applied in accordance with The Tape Depot standards, correct such defects by suitable replacement without charge. If The Tape Depot determines that replacement is not commercially practical, The Tape Depot shall issue a credit in favor of Purchaser in an amount not to exceed the purchase price of the products.

Products are sold with the understanding that the buyer has independently determined the suitability of the product for his/her purposes, and he/she is reminded that a few materials are sensitive to adhesive tapes and discretion should be used in their application. Bulletins, specifications, product and testing reports and other descriptive and advertising material and information are based on research testing and are believed to be reliable, but constitute no part of this warranty, which is exclusive and strictly limited to the foregoing.

This warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or other warranty of quality, whether express or implied, except the warranty of title and against patent infringement. No waiver, alteration, additions, or modifications of the foregoing conditions shall be valid unless made in writing and manually signed by an officer of The Tape Depot. No agent or representative is authorized to give any guarantee or make any statement contrary to or inconsistent with this warranty.

Limitation of Liability
In no event shall The Tape Depot be liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use or production, or loss of capital. The remedies of purchaser set forth herein are exclusive and the total liability of The Tape Depot with respect to any contract or anything done in connection therewith, such as the performance or breach hereof, or from the manufacture, sale, delivery, resale, installation, or use of any products, whether arising out of contract, negligence, strict tort, or under any warranty, or otherwise, shall not exceed the purchase price of the products upon which liability is based.

All Florida Orders will be receive a Sales Tax of 7.00%.
